One of many songs I wrote in my head long before playing the music on the piano, “Images” was very clearly defined in my mind months in advance of recording the individual tracks. The instrumentation deviated very little from its inception to the point of my laying down the last track. It’s a soft ballad comprising only acoustic instruments along with strings and an oboe.
