I composed “Katherine’s Song” as the theme music to a novel, A Brother Betrayed, by L.S. Lane. A unique challenge for me, it had to meet certain melodious and stanza requirements set forth by her. Generally, I write music without constraints or guidelines – not this time, however. As things turned out, it met with the author’s approval and is a compelling piece of music enjoyed by all who hear it.
