Inspired by the scenes and gameplay of a popular video game, “Runner” was compelled by the action and suspense in the animated scenes. While never having any connection musically with the game, it ultimately took a vastly different course and blended nicely into the basic theme of this CD with its intricate mix of acoustical instruments, driving percussion, deep bass, and a modest array of synthesizer textures.
